Text of Love is All

As a child I heard "all you need is love".
I believed that my country "held these truths as self evident, that all men are created equal,"
that I lived in the "sweet land of liberty."
I was taught to hope for a brighter future and that "a mind is a terrible thing to waste."
I had hoped that we would choose to "make love not war" because
"war is not healthy for children and other living things."
I've heard "love of money is the root of all evil" and that it can't buy me love.
How much truth can be found in these ideals of childhood?
Could they be seeds sowed to feed the discontent of adulthood?
No, I've made a different choice
I know now that it takes great courage to have a loving heart.
Now I am active in choosing what outside influences come into my life.
I choose to accept the abundance which surrounds me.
This gives me strength to radiate love.
